Narrating our musical storybook this December is Richard Walmsley, a distinguished member of the Hunts Phil community.

Richard, a cherished member of our choir, will grace Peer Gynt’s suites with his extraordinary voice and he really is very good at telling great stories!

With an impressive 45-year career in education, radio, and television, Richard has lent his voice to documentaries, commercials, and even Dubai’s English language radio station, earning recognition for his distinct and resonant tones. Beyond his professional achievements, Richard finds immense joy in bringing stories to life, particularly for the visually impaired through reading and storytelling.

His dedication to sharing the magic of children’s stories is evident in his previous narrations for the Hunts Phil’s Children’s Concert, including performances of classics such as ‘Peter and the Wolf,’ ‘The Snowman,’ ‘Paddington Bear’s First Concert,’ ‘Babar the Elephant’ and last year ‘The Ugly Duckling.’ Richard’s passion for storytelling and his ability to infuse warmth and emotion into his narration promise to make this family Christmas Concert magical experience for audiences of all ages.
